I will admit that I bought this track because of the name. For anyone ignorant to classic rock and guitar virtuosity, the artist and title is a play on
Eric Clapton from the legendary power trio
Cream. If any of this is sheer coincidence then so be it, they got my
$1.49.
In any event, I basically hated this song from the beginning. I will admit that I did like the intro beat because it reminded me of The Strong Rhythm by Manaca, Chus and Ceballos, Distraction mix of course, but the urban sounding keys and theatrical strings kind of rubbed me the wrong way for some reason. I felt cheated. How can you name this song after the great Eric Clapton and Cream and let it be so lame? Does anyone have any respect for classic rock anymore?
